Local dealer has a 4WD 990 pkg that includes FEL, LX6 rotary cutter, 6' box blade and 16' utility trailer for $22,500. Can't find pricing info on the JD site for all this stuff, so I was wondering if you fine folk could help me determine if this is an acceptable "deal".

Price seams high to me.
Check out The Kioti DK 40 before you purchase a 990.
Same price as a 990 or less, great quality, Far more features than the 990.
Folding ROPS,extendable lower link arms, tilt steering, wet disk brakes, foward/reverser, fully sycronized tranny (8 foward and 8 reverse gears), draft control,independant PTO, back up light,mid PTO, Etc. ....

Thanks. Best I can tell, the prices are MSRP for the equipment but it looks like they are throwing the trailer in for "free".
Kioti dealers are somewhat farther away, but I may go over and check them out anyway.

Neal,
I am by no means cutting down the 990.I believe they are proven to be very reliable.
But they are very close in features to my 1978 JD 850.(reliable but the extra comfort features are not there).
I looked at the 790 and 990 when looking for a newer tractor.
But when I compared price vs features I ended up with a Kioti DK 35 and couldn't be happier with it. ....
